February Fundraising & Sharing Your Fundraiser Success Stories
As the days get longer and the temperatures get warmer, we’re happy to be working out way through February and looking ahead to Spring which is just around the corner!
We’re working hard to get groups set up to run their Spring Planters Fundraiser, which happens to be the best Mother’s Day gift around if you’re looking for one!
This year we’ve partnered with Aspen Greenhouses in Lacombe, AB for this plant fundraiser.
Aspen Greenhouse is a truly family-owned and operated business where Burt and Annelies Vander Vlugt and their two sons pour their hearts into every day. Originally from the Netherlands, Bert and Annelies had an inherent love of plants after growing up surrounded by greenhouses. They arrived in Canada in 1990 with their four sons and in 1993, purchased the land on which their greenhouses are now located.
All their plants are started from seed or unrooted cuttings sourced from around the world. The plants are then carefully looked after until they are sold to independent garden centres, national chain stores, or directly to consumers when their retail outlet opens to the public in the Spring. They will be opening on Monday, April 17th for the 2023 season!
This is the perfect school fundraiser to get students involved in bringing some beauty to their homes and surprise their moms for Mother’s Day! The last day to register for the Spring Planters Fundraiser is February 28th, so make sure you don’t miss out and get in touch with an Indeygo team member today to book your fundraiser!
February is also the time for sharing love, sharing quality time with family, and for us that means sharing successes.
Fundraising is often so much more than just raising money for a school, team, club, or good cause! Fundraising builds leadership skills, strengthens teamwork, brings together the community, and emphasizes the importance of strong communication. This is even more important when we get kids involved in fundraising! So many important life skills can be taught through the values of fundraising.
An important lesson to share with kids while fundraising is sharing the successes of their hard work!
When kids get to see the results of their hard work celebrated, it teaches them important lessons in recognition, confidence, and self-esteem. It also encourages them to work hard again in the future and to inspire others to join them in their efforts.
In the spirit of celebrating successes, we wanted to share a few awesome fundraising success stories from all over Canada!
The first round of applause goes to the 585 students from the McCaig Elementary School in Rosemere, Quebec who raised over $5,000 for their school! Congratulations to all the students, parents, and teachers who participated in the McCaig Elementary School fundraiser!
Next up is the Mahogany School from Calgary, Alberta where 530 students raised $5000 for their school! Funds will be used to purchase school apparel for all the students in the school to wear for the Grand Opening Celebration in March. Being a new school, there is much to celebrate!
Last but certainly not least, we’d like to give a big round of applause to the graduating class of 2024 from the Western Regional School of Nursing! 42 dedicated nursing students sold over 1000 tubs of muffin dough from Corner Brook, Newfoundland! They raised over $7,000 for their Nursing College, and the proceeds of this fundraiser will go towards their graduation celebration in May 2024. We can’t wait to see what these passionate students do in the future and thank them for their dedication to healthcare in Canada!
If you have a fundraising success story to share with us, we’d love to hear from you! Of course, we’re always here to help you with any fundraising products, tips, or tricks you may need help with!
Don’t forget, Indeygo is 100% Canadian-owned and operated, and we’re proud to source over 70% of our ingredients from local or Canadian suppliers! This means you can rest assured that the products you’re selling to friends and family during your fundraiser are sustainable and supportive of Canadian farmers, producers, and distributors.
From cookie and muffin dough to cinnamon and sticky buns, we’ve covered all your sweet treat cravings. Looking for something a little different? Check out our beef jerky or coffee and tea fundraisers! And, of course, we can’t forget about our furry family members, so we’ve even got doggie dough to make your very own treats for your best friend!
