Our Top Fundraising Success Stories of 2024
2024 was another banner year for our fundraisers in Canada. We saw teams of all kinds coming together to raise money for big goals, from purchasing new sports equipment to supporting local charities.
Bravo to all the hardworking teams we worked with this year! We’re proud to support groups all over Canada with their fundraising efforts, big and small. Below, check out some of our top fundraising success stories from the past year. We hope they inspire you and your volunteers to dream big as you plan your community, school, and team fundraisers in 2025.
Notre Dame Pride Girls Basketball, Calgary AB
Between uniforms, tournament fees, equipment, and transportation, basketball can be a pricey sport. To make sure price wouldn’t be a barrier for any student athletes, Notre Dame High School conducted a team fundraiser with Indeygo Scoop & Bake Cookie Dough. Leah, their intrepid fundraising coordinator, led the way with incredible energy and enthusiasm.
The fundraiser was a slam dunk. Together, the group sold 62 cases of cookie dough, which translated to more than $3,000 in funds to reduce individual athlete fees.
Northern Lights School of Dance, Whitehorse Yukon
Meanwhile, up in Whitehorse, the Northern Lights School of Dance was raising the bar. Their goal? To raise funds for special events and costumes, chiefly their Nutcracker Ballet in December 2024 and Swan Lake Ballet Performance in 2025. Their team told us:
“Our small school provides a place of community for our young people to form friendships and lifelong healthy habits. As part of providing an inclusive environment, we work hard to remove financial barriers through fundraising.”
Congratulations to the dancers for selling 120 cases of Indeygo Scoop & Bake Cookie Dough and raising an incredible $6,000 to support their programs.
City FC Soccer Club, Calgary AB
Another year, another successful team fundraiser for City FC. In 2024, the club wanted to focus on raising funds for team gear, tournament fees and expenses, and club turf — plus, they hoped to fund a party to celebrate their season. The group chose two fundraising options available exclusively to groups in Calgary and Edmonton: Farm to School Veggie Bundles and Winter’s Turkeys.
The result? They raised an impressive $1,121.00 to support their goals by selling free range, whole grain fed turkeys and organic, locally grown and sustainably farmed vegetables.
Step by Step Dance, Sherwood Park, AB
We’ve been proudly working with Step by Step Dance for a decade, and we’re always impressed by their exceptional fundraising efforts. This fall, they sold the popular Farm to School Veggie Bundles, as well as our classic Indeygo Scoop & Bake Cookie Dough.
Like always, the dancers and their families stepped up, raising a over $5,000 in just three weeks to support their dance programming.
Juan De Fuca Minor Hockey U9 C1 Grizzlies
We always love working with Ashley — Juan De Fuca Minor Hockey’s coordinator extraordinaire —and her team of enthusiastic volunteers. Together, this minor hockey team fundraiser sold over 500 tubs of cookie dough, raising more than $5,000 in three weeks this fall.
The funds will go to bringing down the costs of tournaments for players and their families. More money raised means more ice time for these hard-working players. They shoot, they score!
Gateway School, Red Deer AB
Instead of hitting the beach during spring break this year, the Grade 12 Co-Impact Team at Gateway School in Red Deer is planning a service trip to the Dominican Republic, where they’ll be impacting local communities.
To get their trip off the ground, the students organized a fundraiser selling Indeygo Scoop & Bake Cookie Dough. Together, they sold a total of 68 cases of cookie dough, totalling $3,500 in funds for their trip. Good luck to the students on their travels!
Ortona Gymnastics, Edmonton AB
Ortona Gymnastics is dedicated to providing gymnastics programs that are accessible to all community members. Their belief? That everyone can find something meaningful and beneficial in the sport, regardless of age, ability, or goals.
To improve their programs for everyone, Ortona Gymnastics set a huge goal—a 144 square metre goal, to be exact. Their team committed to raising funds to purchase a new gymnastics floor for the facility.
This year, their volunteers sold a total of 37 cases of Indeygo Scoop & Bake Cookie Dough, raising over $2,600. It’s a huge leap towards their goal, all thanks to their hard work and dedication.
